Subject:     Re-Opening Of Civil Service Tests

The following Civil Service tests are now open to application

for the general public.

 

   General Clerical Exam (4000)

   Typing Careers Test (4002)

   Accounting Specialist/Technician (2027)

   Professional Accountant Exam (1000)

   Professional Auditor Exam (1500)

   Law Enforcement & Protective Services LEAPS Exam (5000)

   Social Services Case Manager/Family Support (2374)

   Group Benefits Claims Assistant (1050) -- in Baton Rouge

   only

 

The following Civil Service test is now open to application

from permanent state employees.

 

   Professional Supervisor Exam (3500)

 

We will resume administration of the Law Enforcement and

Protective Services Supervisor LEAPS Supervisor Exam (1700) on

November 15 in Saturday test locations (Lafayette, Lake

Charles, Monroe, New Orleans and Shreveport)  and on November

18 in weekday test offices (Baton Rouge and New Orleans).  This

test will be open continuously ONLY to permanent state

employees.  Employees who wish to test at a Saturday location

may submit their applications now. 

 

NOTE: The job of Corrections Captain will no longer be included

in the LEAPS Supervisor (1700) Exam.  Testing for these

promotions will now be handled directly by the Department of

Corrections.  Employees who wish to apply for Corrections

Captain positions should apply directly to the Dept. Of

Corrections central personnel office. 

 

We anticipate re-opening the Professional Entry Test PET (1333)

by January 1, 1998.
