Subject: Change In Minimum Wage - Flsa Of 1996

Issue Date: August 11, 1997

The Federal Minimum Wage Rate will change from $4.75 to $5.15

per hour effective September 1, 1997 in accordance with the

Fair Labor Standards Amendments of 1996. The rate equates to a

monthly rate of $893.

All agencies who have employees who must have their pay raised

as a result of this amendment should submit a Standard Form 1

(SF-1) to effect this action. When submitting the form, cite

Civil Service Rule 6.5(f) as your authority.
