Subject: Performance Planning & Review Orientation

The Department of Civil Service with the assistance of CPTP,

LETA and the Department of Corrections Training staff has

prepared a 25-minute video to introduce classified employees to

the new Performance Planning and Review system. Copies of the

video will be available for distribution July 1, 1997.

The purpose of this video is to acquaint non-supervisory

classified employees with the new Performance Planning and

Review system which becomes effective July 1, 1997. Since

supervisory staff have already been trained in the PPR system

and will begin using it to plan with their employees in July,

we strongly recommend that all non-supervisory classified

employees be given the opportunity to watch this video by July

31, 1997.

The video lasts approximately 25 minutes. We recommend that

copies of the blank Performance Planning and Review form (SF15

- Rev 5/97) also be made available to employees so they may

review it after seeing the video.
