Subject: Minimum Wage Change - 1996 FLSA Amendment

Issue Date: September 3, 1996

The Federal Minimum Wage Rate will change from $4.25 to $4.75 per hour effective October 1, 1996 in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Amendments of 1996. This rate equates to a monthly rate of $824.

All agencies who have employees who must have their pay raised as a result of this amendment should submit a Standard Form 1 (SF-1) to effect this action. When submitting the form, cite Civil Service Rule 6.5(f) as your authority.
