Subject: Update Of Jobs Open For Competitive Promotion

Issue Date: July 23, 1996

This circular is an update to General Circular 1238, issued May 9, 1996, which identified those jobs above GS-14 which are open continuously to state employees. Effective July 19, 1996 the jobs listed below will also be opened continuously to state employees. Qualified employees are encouraged to apply for these jobs immediately to establish their eligibility for future vacancies. After October 1, 1996 certificates of eligibles for promotions to these jobs will be issued from existing lists without other announcement.

Enclosed with this General Circular is a revised flier "List of GS 15 and above jobs open continuously to permanent state employees" which reflects the addition of these ten jobs. PLEASE POST THIS REVISED LIST in the area where Special and Promotional Announcements appear.

NOTE: The flier does not appear in the OPEN system version of this General Circular. The announcement schedule of any job may be seen in the OPEN system by consulting the List of Exams.
