Subject: Job Specifications Now Available On The Internet

The Louisiana Department of State Civil Service is very proud to announce that we now have job specifications available on our World Wide Web site. The address of our site is http://www.dnr.state.la.us/~cs/, and it is also listed under state departments on the Info Louisiana web site (http://www.state.la.us).

Visitors to the site can view, print or download job specifications for any classified state job. To access the job specifications, simply click Job Specifications right off of our home page.

Since our site opened on December 28th, 1995, we have added summaries of divisions within the department, phone and fax lists, pay levels, information on job opportunities, how to apply for a job, testing, etc. We are particularly pleased to add the job specifications, as there has been a huge demand for them, from both the public and state agencies.

We feel that, in the future, the Internet will become the accepted mode of doing business for state agencies, and are happy to be using this valuable tool to help us in our goal of maximizing service to all of our clients, both the public and state agencies.
