Subject: Moratorium On Civil Service Rule 6.16(c) Requests

Issue Date: May 9, 1996

Please be advised that the Civil Service Commission, at its May 8, 1996 business meeting, placed a six-month moratorium until the November 20, 1996 Commission meeting, on agency requests for individual pay increases based on performance under the provisions of Civil Service Rule 6.16(c). This moratorium does not include requests for exceptions to pay cuts upon demotion. This decision by the Commission is to allow time for the Civil Service staff to make recommendations concerning under what circumstances these requests should be considered.
