Subject:     Announcement Of May 8, 1996 Pay Hearing

 

Issue Date:  April 12, 1996

 

 

The State Civil Service Commission will hold a public hearing

on Wednesday, May 8, 1996 to consider a proposed structure

adjustment to the General Schedule and proposed changes to the

Classification and Pay Plan.

 

THE HEARING WILL BEGIN AT 9:00 A.M. AND WILL BE HELD AT THE

DEPARTMENT OF CIVIL SERVICE, SECOND FLOOR SOUTH COMMISSION

HEARING ROOM, DOTD ANNEX BUILDING, 1201 CAPITOL ACCESS ROAD,

BATON ROUGE, LOUISIANA.

 

The structure adjustment will consist of moving the range

minimum of the General Schedule approximately 4% and moving the

range maximum of the General Schedule approximately 10%.  The

Commission will also consider the following exhibits:

 

The following exhibits (Exhibits A, B, C, D and E) have been

given interim approval by the Civil Service Director since the

October 4, 1995 Pay Hearing:

The Commission will also consider the following exhibits.

These changes to the Pay Plan noted in Exhibits F, G, and H

have not been given interim approval by the Civil Service

Director.  The changes will not become effective unless adopted

by the Civil Service Commission and approved by the Governor.

If adopted by the Civil Service Commission and the Governor,

the effective date of these changes will be set by the

Governor.

possible, any comments which you consider pertinent.  Comments

and recommendations will be considered only on the above items.

If you would like to appear before the Commission to present

your comments orally, you are invited to do so and are

requested to notify the Department of Civil Service of such

intentions in advance of the meeting.

 

Please post this General Circular prominently so that all

employees will receive notice of this hearing.

 

If any special accommodations are needed, please notify us

prior to this meeting.
