of August 8, 2007 Pay Hearing
Issue Date: July 12, 2007
The State Civil Service Commission will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, August 8, 2007 to consider proposed changes to the Classification and Pay Plan.
The hearing will begin at 9:00
a.m. and will be held in the auditorium of the Claiborne Building, 1201 Third
Street, Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
The Commission will consider the following exhibits:

HAVE BEEN GIVEN INTERIM APPROVAL BY THE CIVIL SERVICE DIRECTOR AND ARE

APPROVAL BY THE CIVIL SERVICE DIRECTOR.
THESE CHANGES WILL NOT BECOME EFFECTIVE UNLESS ADOPTED BY THE CIVIL
SERVICE COMMISSION AND APPROVED BY THE GOVERNOR. IF ADOPTED BY THE COMMISSION AND APPROVED BY
THE GOVERNOR, THE GOVERNOR WILL SET THE EFFECTIVE DATE.

Please begin completing
position description forms (SF-3’s) for those positions affected by the job
studies listed in Exhibits F, G, and H in the attachments below. You will have 90 days after the effective
date to have all SF-3’s submitted to the Compensation Division.
Please review this proposal and furnish us any comments that you consider pertinent by close of business July 31, 2007. If you would like to appear before the Commission to present your comments orally, you are invited to do so and are requested to notify the Department of Civil Service of such intentions in advance of the meeting.
Please post this General Circular prominently so that all employees will receive notice of this hearing.
If any special accommodations are needed, please notify us prior to this meeting.
