The
State Civil Service Commission will hold a public hearing on Wednesday,
December 13, 2006 to consider proposed changes to the Classification and Pay
Plan.
The
hearing will begin at 9:00 a.m. and will be held in the auditorium of the
Claiborne Building, 1201 Third Street, Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
The
Commission will consider the following:

THE
CHANGES TO THE PAY PLAN NOTED IN EXHIBIT F MUST BE APPROVED BY THE CIVIL
SERVICE COMMISSION WHO WILL SET THE EFFECTIVE DATE. THE CHANGES TO THE PAY PLAN
NOTED IN EXHIBITS G, H, AND I BELOW HAVE NOT BEEN GIVEN INTERIM APPROVAL BY THE
CIVIL SERVICE DIRECTOR. THESE CHANGES
WILL NOT BECOME EFFECTIVE UNLESS ADOPTED BY THE CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION AND
APPROVED BY THE GOVERNOR. IF ADOPTED BY
THE COMMISSION AND APPROVED BY THE GOVERNOR, THE GOVERNOR WILL SET THE
EFFECTIVE DATE.

I: Changes to Pay Schedules, Grid, and Implementation Orders
We are proposing to raise the maximums of the AS, MS, and SS
schedules 14%. We are proposing to raise
the maximums of the PS and WS
schedules 10%.
A supplement adding/changing items in this exhibit may be issued at the Commission Hearing.
Please review this proposal and furnish us any comments that you consider pertinent by close of business December 7, 2006. If you would like to appear before the Commission to present your comments orally, you are invited to do so and are requested to notify the Department of Civil Service of such intentions in advance of the meeting.
