Subject:            Further Exhibits for the July 19, 2006 Pay Hearing

The State Civil Service Commission will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, July 19, 2006 to consider proposed changes to the Classification and Pay Plan.

 

The hearing will begin at 9:00 a.m. and will be held in the auditorium of the Claiborne Building, 1201 Third Street, Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

 

In addition to proposed changes to the Scientific/Technical (TS) pay schedule outlined in Exhibit A in General Circular #001664, the Commission will consider the following exhibits:

 

EXHIBIT B: Job Minimum Qualification Changes Since the December 7, 2005 Pay Hearing

 

THE CHANGES TO THE PAY PLAN NOTED IN EXHIBITS C, D, AND E BELOW HAVE NOT BEEN GIVEN INTERIM APPROVAL BY THE CIVIL SERVICE DIRECTOR.  THESE CHANGES WILL NOT BECOME EFFECTIVE UNLESS ADOPTED BY THE CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION AND APPROVED BY THE GOVERNOR.  IF ADOPTED BY THE COMMISSION AND APPROVED BY THE GOVERNOR, THE GOVERNOR WILL SET THE EFFECTIVE DATE.

Please review this proposal and furnish us any comments that you consider pertinent by close of business July 11, 2006.  If you would like to appear before the Commission to present your comments orally, you are invited to do so and are requested to notify the Department of Civil Service of such intentions in advance of the meeting.

 

Please post this General Circular prominently so that all employees will receive notice of this hearing.
