Subject:            Layoff Referral Lists available for use when filling vacancies

As the result of recent layoffs, Layoff Referral Lists for a number of state jobs statewide have been established.  Although you are not required to use these lists, the Department of State Civil Service encourages you to consider laid off state employees whose names appear on the lists when filling vacancies in your Department.
