Subject: Announcement
of December 7, 2005 Pay Hearing
Issue Date: November 9, 2005
The State Civil Service Commission will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, December 7, 2005 to consider proposed changes to the Classification and Pay Plan.
The hearing will begin at 9:00
a.m. and will be held in the auditorium of the Claiborne Building, 1201 Third
Street, Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
The Commission will consider the following exhibits:
EXHIBIT A: Changes to the Labor/Trades (WS) Grid and Implementation Order
EXHIBIT B: Job Minimum Qualification Changes Since the July 13, 2005 Pay Hearing
THE CHANGES TO THE PAY PLAN NOTED IN EXHIBITS
C, D, AND E BELOW HAVE NOT BEEN GIVEN INTERIM APPROVAL BY THE CIVIL SERVICE
DIRECTOR. THESE CHANGES WILL NOT BECOME
EFFECTIVE UNLESS ADOPTED BY THE CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION AND APPROVED BY THE
GOVERNOR. IF ADOPTED BY THE COMMISSION
AND APPROVED BY THE GOVERNOR, THE GOVERNOR WILL SET THE EFFECTIVE DATE.
EXHIBIT C: New Jobs Proposed for Addition to the Pay Plan Since the July 13, 2005 Pay Hearing
EXHIBIT D: Job Title Changes Proposed for the Pay Plan Since the July 13, 2005 Pay Hearing
EXHIBIT E: Job Pay Grade Changes Proposed for the Pay Plan Since the July 13, 2005 Pay Hearing
Further supplements adding items to these exhibits may be issued at the Commission Hearing.
Please review this proposal and furnish us any comments that you consider pertinent by close of business November 30, 2005. If you would like to appear before the Commission to present your comments orally, you are invited to do so and are requested to notify the Department of Civil Service of such intentions in advance of the meeting. Implementation Order for the Labor/Trades (WS) Schedule and Grid Proposed

The purpose of this order is to effect the transition of employees from the current Labor/Trades pay grid to the proposed Labor/Trades pay grid.
