Subject: Katrina/Rita – Pending Job Correction Implementation for the July 13^th, 2005 Pay Hearing

July 13, 2005 Pay Hearing Implementations

Due to the impact of Hurricanes Katrina/Rita for many agencies, we are extending the usual ninety-day requirement to implement actions resulting from the July 13, 2005 Pay Hearing until 2/28/06. 

We understand that many agencies are unable to complete the required actions within the normal time period. This extension provides a six-month window for recovery. We will review progress in locations exceptionally hard hit by Katrina/Rita and may make further extensions if necessary. Unless you are otherwise notified, all actions relating to job correction for the July 13, 2005 Pay Hearing should be complete by March 1, 2006. Please continue to use the effective date of 8/29/05 for these actions.

We strongly encourage any agency that is able to continue to finalize all job correction implementation issues to do so.
