To: Heads of State Agencies and
Human Resource Directors
Subject: LSU/ISIS HR Research Project
Issue Date: November 30, 2004
The Information Systems and Decision
Sciences Department of Louisiana State University is currently working on a
research project to study change management issues surrounding ERP (Enterprise
Resource Planning) systems, such as ISIS HR.
Limited research exists that measures such things as user acceptance,
quality and amount of support and training received, and the effectiveness of
systems upon initial implementation.
This important initiative will provide data to measure such factors
after the system has been in use for several years.
To date, LSU
representatives have met with the ISIS HR Influence Group as well as conducted
a focus group session with selected HR users to refine the issues to be
studied. Based upon the input of these
two groups, a web-based survey has been created. The survey includes a number of topics, including but not limited
to, the
quality and amount of support and training received, the effectiveness of the
system, its ease of use, data integrity and the overall usefulness of the
system in executing required job functions.
We anticipate
that this survey will be distributed this week to employees enrolled in either
the ISIS HR Timekeeper or Employee Administrator electronic notification
list. We strongly encourage those who
receive the survey to respond. It will
only require a few minutes of your time and your input is vital to the success
of this research project.
If you have any
questions about this survey please contact Mary Olexy at the Division of
Administration by e-mail at:
mary.olexy@la.gov. Your participation is sincerely
appreciated.
Sincerely,
s/Anne S.
