Subject: Changes to PET Generic Register

The PET-Generic register has jobs with pay levels between GS-11 and GS-16. Some of the jobs with lower pay levels have significant hiring activity as well as severe availability problems.
We will be establishing four registers from the PET-Generic register based on GS-level. We will then conduct a massive purge of the four new registers hoping to inactivate those candidates not currently interested. The purge letter will be mailed June 1, 2001 and the new registers should be fully operational between June 20 and June 25.
