Subject: Details Involving The Senior Executive Service

Issue Date: February 1, 2001

In General Circular 1229, issued April 10, 1996, General Circular 1233, issued April 29, 1996, and General Circular 1284, issued May 29, 1997, this Department stipulated that details involving the Senior Executive Service be made on a competitive basis. We are discontinuing the competitive conditions stipulated for these details. This action rescinds the conditions imposed in the General Circulars listed above.

Agencies are expected to continue to follow the policy standards for details that were issued in General Circular 1382, issued December 22, 1999.
