Subject: Change in Series No. - Paraprof. Acct. Test (PAT)

We are notifying you by means of this circular that we are changing the series number for the Paraprofessional Accounting Test (PAT) from 6000 to 4242. This change will be effective March 10, 2000. This is a change in the series number only, and does not affect the scores that candidates hold or the certifiable scores for the job registers: these will remain the same.

Candidates do NOT need to re-apply for scores. The scores will be converted in our computer system. The numeric scores and their effective and expiration dates will be identical after the conversion. Candidates' position on the registers will not change. You will only see a change in the series number that identifies these records as being from the Paraprofessional Accounting Test.

Certificates already issued with a series 6000 series number will be considered equivalent to the new certificates that will have series number 4242, and may be used as authority to appoint as long as they are still valid.
