Issue Date: December 23, 1999

Act 175 appears, at R.S. 1:60, deals with timely filing of documents. It requires that any document postmarked on or before the due date shall be considered filed timely. We are issuing this circular to remind state agencies that this act applies to inquiries of availability (SF-9's) requiring an applicant to respond by returning the form. Any form returned that is postmarked on or before the due date must be considered as filed timely under the act.
