Subject: Update On Filling Positions Under Rule 8.2.1

Issue Date: October 25, 1999

Based on the results of the First Primary on October 23, 1999, the provisions of Civil Service Rule 8.2.1 remain in effect for the Department of Elections and Registration, the Department of Insurance, and the Department of Treasury through Inauguration Day (January 10, 2000).

These restrictions are no longer in effect for the rest of the classified service. If there are any changes in this policy, you will be notified through General Circular.
