The State Civil Service
Commission will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, October 8th,
2008 to consider proposed changes to the Pay Plan.
The hearing will begin at 9:00
a.m. and will be held in the auditorium of the Claiborne Building, 1201 Third
Street, Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
EXHIBIT I: Changes to Pay Schedules, Grid, and
Implementation Orders.
Proposal to raise the
minimums of all schedules to reflect minimum wage changes, and additionally
raise the pay range minimums of AS, PS, TS and SS schedules up to 10%, the WS
and MS up to 3%.
EXHIBIT
J: A proposal for a 2-5% one-time
salary supplement for all classified employees.
There are no proposed changes to
the maximums at this time.
Please review this proposal and
furnish us any comments that you consider pertinent by close of business
October 1. If you would
like to appear before the Commission to present your comments orally, you are
invited to do so and are requested to notify the Department of Civil Service of
such intentions in advance of the meeting.
