Subject:             Discount Program for State Employees - WeSave

The Louisiana Department of State Civil Service is happy to announce that it has contracted with WeSave to provide a new benefit to all state employees and retirees starting this fall.  WeSave is a savings program that will offer state employees discounts at a variety of businesses throughout the state.  The program will be available to all state active and retired employees, classified or unclassified, at no cost to either the employee or the state.  For more information about WeSave please visit their website at http://wesave.com/.

 

WeSave representatives are currently contacting businesses throughout the state to contract with them to participate in the WeSave program.  Although national and regional merchants will offer discounts to state employees through the WeSave program, participation of local Louisiana business is particularly emphasized and invited.  There is no cost to businesses to participate in the program.

 

Retirees or active employees interested in secondary employment may work for WeSave as Merchant Representatives to recruit local businesses to participate in the program.  WeSave pays $20 for each merchant recruited.    Active employees who work for WeSave must comply with any policies their agencies may have regarding outside employment.
