Subject:            Employment Law for Agency Counsel Class Dates

PLEASE MAKE THIS GENERAL CIRCULAR AVAILABLE TO ALL CPTP/MANDATORY TRAINING COORDINATORS AND AGENCY ATTORNEYS.

The Employment Law for Agency Counsel class will be offered in Baton Rouge on the following dates. 

·         May 21, 2008

·         July 22, 2008

·         October 14, 2008

This 1-day class includes a presentation and discussion with Robert Boland, General Counsel for the Department of Civil Service, concerning issues related to employment law as it is applied to state government.  This class was previously named Civil Service Practice for Attorneys.

Enrollment in this class is limited to state attorneys.  Attendees are eligible for continuing legal education credit of approximately 6.5 hours.  Please check the CPTP website (http://www.doa.louisiana.gov/cptp/registr.htm) for registration information. 

Mr. Boland advises the course contains much of the same material that was presented last year.  If you attended last year, he suggests attendance for further discussion, if desired. You may contact Robert Boland at 225-342-8272 if you have additional questions.
