The Application Process

We describe the overall process on our How To Apply page.

Vacancies Posted for a Limited Time

Current vacancies in jobs which seldom have openings are advertised on Job Search, Louisiana's Internet search engine for classified State vacancies.  These postings are open to application f or a limited time period, usually two or three weeks.  Applicants can get scores for these jobs only during these limited time postings.  Follow the directions in the job posting to apply.

Jobs with Frequent Hiring -- Frequently Posted

For many State jobs with frequent hiring, job seekers can get Civil Service scores in advance.  State employers usually fill these vacancies with applicants who already have scores.  These vacancies are frequently posted by State employers on Job Search.  Job seekers can also contact State employers themselves about vacancies once they have received their scores.
