8)         Request of the Department of Transportation and Development to revise their Optional Pay Policy in accordance with Civil Service Rule 6.16.2, effective February 1, 2008.  Department recommends approval as requested. 9)         Request of the Division of Administration for a 10% Optional Pay adjustment for additional duties, for Ms. Susan H. Smith, State Contracts/Grants Administrator, in accordance with Civil Service Rule 6.16.2, effective July 1, 2007.  Department recommends approval of a temporary 10% adjustment effective July 1, 2007, for the duration of higher level duties or until June 30, 2008, whichever is sooner. (Appearance by a representative of the Division of Administration.) THE COMMISSION GRANTED THE REQUEST AS RECOMMENDED BY THE DEPARTMENT.

 

10)       Request of the Division of Administration for a 10% Optional Pay adjustment for additional duties, for Ms. Mary Foster, State Contracts/Grants Assistant Administrator, in accordance with Civil Service Rule 6.16.2, effective July 1, 2007.  Department recommends approval of a temporary 10% adjustment effective July 1, 2007, for the duration of higher level duties or until June 30, 2008, whichever is sooner. 11)       Request of the Department of Public Safety and Corrections for a permanent 5% Optional Pay adjustment for additional duties, for Mr. Michael Moore, Administrative Program Director 4, in accordance with Civil Service Rule 6.16.2, effective December 12, 2007.  Department recommends approval as requested.  (Appearance by a representative of the Department of Public Safety and Corrections.) 12)       Request of the Department of Public Safety and Corrections for a permanent Optional Pay adjustment of 5% (with 5% having already been awarded by the agency) for Ms. Deborah Shirley, Corrections Transition Specialist, in accordance with Civil Service Rule 6.16.2, effective January 9, 2008.  Department recommends approval as requested.  (Appearance by a representative of the Department of Public Safety and Corrections.) 13)       Request of the Department of Public Safety and Corrections for continuation of a 5% temporary Optional Pay adjustment for additional duties, for Mr. Anthony Erwin, Accountant Manager 3, in accordance with Civil Service Rule 6.16.2, effective December 1, 2007 until December 31, 2008.  Department recommends approval for the duration of the duties or until December 31, 2008, whichever is sooner.  (Appearance by a representative of the Department of Public Safety and Corrections.) 14)       Request of the Department of Public Safety for a permanent 2% Optional Pay adjustment for equal level additional duties, for Ms. Tammy Crawford, Procurement Specialist 3, in accordance with Civil Service Rule 6.16.2, effective November 30, 2007.  Department recommends approval as requested.  (Appearance by a representative of the Department of Public Safety.) 15)       Request of the Department of Public Safety for a permanent 5% Optional Pay adjustment for additional duties, for Ms. Susan Demouy, Audit Director 2, in accordance with Civil Service Rule 6.16.2, effective September 24, 2007.  Department recommends approval as requested.  (Appearance by a representative of the Department of Public Safety.) 16)       Consideration of the following requests for Special Pay Rates in accordance with Civil Service Rule 6.16(a):

 

a.       Department of Public Safety and Corrections – for a one-time lump sum payment of $1,000.00 for Mr. Jonathon Dartt, Information Technology Technical Support Specialist 3, effective January 9, 2008.  Department recommends approval as requested. THE COMMISSION GRANTED THE REQUEST.

 

b.      Department of Health and Hospitals, Office of the Secretary – to amend Pinecrest Supports and Services Center’s premium pay policy to include the Residential Services Specialist 3 title, effective January 9, 2008.  Department recommends approval as requested. THE COMMISSION GRANTED THE REQUEST.

 

c.       Department of Health and Hospitals, Division of Health Economics – to establish premium pay in the amount of $1.00 to $3.50 per hour (for hours worked) for all Economist positions within the agency for longevity, effective January 9, 2008.  Department recommends approval as requested. THE COMMISSION GRANTED THE REQUEST.

 

d.      Department of Health and Hospitals, Office of Mental Health – to establish $1.60 per hour premium pay for Medical Transcriptionists under the new job title of Administrative Assistant 1, 2 and 3, effective January 17, 2005, and establish premium pay in the amount of $1.60 per hour for an Administrative Supervisor 2, effective October 8, 2007.  Department recommends approval as requested. THE COMMISSION GRANTED THE REQUEST.
