Classification and Pay Plan. The Commission
conducted a public hearing to consider proposed changes to the classification
and pay plan. On motion duly made, seconded, and passed; the Commission
RATIFIED THE DIRECTOR’S APPROVAL OF the pay plan proposals for Exhibits A
through E, granted the pay plan proposals for exhibits g and h, approved the
pay plan proposal for exhibit f, contingent upon Governor’s approval of
Exhibits G and H, and set the effective date to be the same as the date set by
the Governor.

of the Department of Education for a 7% permanent Optional Pay Adjustment for
additional duties for Mr. Robert Howerton, Education Consultant 5B, in

6) Request
of the Department of Health and Hospitals, Office of Aging and Adult
Services for a 10% permanent Optional Pay Adjustment for additional duties for

Rule 6.16.2, effective June 6, 2007.

7) Request
of the Department of Natural Resources for a 3% temporary Optional Pay
Adjustment for additional duties for Mr. Victor Vaughn, Geologist Administrator,

the duration of the Blanco administration.

Elimination of a $0.25 per hour payment for Registered Nurses

Keith Vanderlick, and Carey Walker, in accordance with Civil Service Rule

Corrections for a temporary Optional Pay adjustment in the amount of 10% for

9) Request of the Department of Public Safety and Corrections,
Public Safety Services for exception to overtimes rules to allow certain
employees to carry forward their compensatory leave balances earned hour for
hour up to 540 hours, into the next fiscal year, on an ongoing, multi-year
basis, in accordance with Civil Service Rule 21.11 (a). Department recommends approval of this
request, effective for those compensatory leave balances at the end of FY 07-08
and for each year thereafter.
