            ON MOTION DULY MADE, SECONDED, AND PASSED; THE COMMISSION APPROVED THE PAY PLAN PROPOSAL EXHIBIT I TO INCREASE THE MAXIMUM RATES OF THE AS, MS, TS, WS, AND SS SCHEDULES BY 10% AND THE PS SCHEDULE BY 14%, EFFECTIVE JUNE 30, 2007.

10)       Request of the Housing Authority of the City of Marksville for a permanent Optional Pay Adjustment, for additional duties, in the amount of 5% for Ms. Victoria Burise, Housing Tenant Certification Coordinator, in accordance with Civil Service Rule 6.16.2, effective June 1, 2007.  Department recommends approval for 2% for equal level duties. 11)       Request of the Department of Health and Hospitals, Office of the Secretary for a 5% temporary Optional Pay Adjustment in the amount of $160.80 bi-weekly for Mr. Edward Holmberg, Accountant Manager 4, for additional duties, in accordance with Civil Service Rule 6.16.2, effective July 1, 2007 through June 15, 2008.  Department recommends approval with the effective dates of July 1, 2007 through June 15, 2008, or until the date the duties are removed, whichever is sooner.             b.   Department of Health and Hospitals, Medical Vendor Administration – for bilingual Medicaid Analysts 1-3 positions, effective July 11, 2007. Department recommends approval as requested. THE COMMISSION GRANTED THE REQUEST.

            d.   LSU Health Care Services Division – for bi-weekly rates for Accounting Specialist 1, 2, and Accounting Specialist Supervisor positions at LSU Health Care Services Division Headquarters and Medical Center of Louisiana at New Orleans, effective July 18, 2007.  Department recommends approval as requested. e.      Department of State Civil Service – establish flexible Special Entrance Rates at the midpoint of the range for all jobs in the Administrative Services (AS) and Social Services (SS) schedules, and at the third quartile for all jobs in the Technical Services (TS) schedule statewide, effective July 18, 2007.  Department recommends approval as requested. 20)       Consideration of the following requests for Special Pay Rates in accordance with Civil Service Rule 6.16(a): 

 

      a.   LSU Health Care Services Division, University Medical Center – establish premium pay up to $5.00 per hour for all hours worked for all employees in the Nutritional Services Department who obtain specific certifications, effective July 16, 2007. Department recommends approval as requested. THE COMMISSION GRANTED THE REQUEST.

 

      b.   Department of Environmental Quality – establish premium pay of $5.20 per hour for all hours worked for any new Environmental Scientist 1-3 positions in the Office of Environmental Assessment, Environmental Technology Division, Toxicology Section, effective June 6, 2007.  Department recommends approval as requested. THE COMMISSION GRANTED THE REQUEST.

 

c.      Department of Health and Hospitals, Office of Mental Health, Eastern Louisiana Mental Health System – establish premium pay of $0.50 per hour for Residential Services Specialists 1, 2, 3, 5, and 6 who are Certified Medication Administration Attendants (CMA), effective July 11, 2007.  Department recommends approval as requested.
