            c.         Florida Parishes Human Services Authority for an individual pay adjustment in the amount of $341.60 biweekly for Shawn Sanders, Information Technology Technical Support Analyst 1, effective August 2, 2006.  THE COMMISSION GRANTED THE REQUEST.

2)         Request of the Medical Center of Louisiana at New Orleans for an exception to the healthcare professional pool authority granted at the August 2005 Commission meeting, effective October 4, 2006 through October 3, 2007.  (Appearance by a representative of the Medical Center of Louisiana at New Orleans.)  ANNE SOILEAU REPORTED TO THE COMMISSION THAT GARLAND WEBB, PRESIDENT, AFSCME, WANTED THE COMMISSION TO KNOW THAT HE IS IN SUPPORT OF THIS REQUEST.   WITH THE CONCURRENCE OF AFSCME LOUISIANA COUNCIL 17, THE COMMISSION GRANTED AUTHORITY FOR THE NUMBER OF POOL POSITIONS TO BE 20% OF THE HOSPITAL’S FTE, EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 4, 2006 THROUGH OCTOBER 3, 2007.

5)         Request of the Department of Public Safety and Corrections, Public Safety Services for an exception to Civil Service Rule 21.8(b) to pay non-exempt law enforcement personnel at the time and one-half rate for any hours worked over 80, effective October 6, 2006.  (Appearance by a representative of the Department of Public Safety and Corrections.)  THE COMMISSION GRANTED THE REQUEST.

 

6)         Request of the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries for an exception to Civil Service Rule 21.8(b) to pay non-exempt law enforcement personnel at the time and one-half rate for any hours worked over 80 and an exception to Civil Service Rule 11.1(b) to allow the same personnel to work 80 hours in a regular 14 day work period, effective April 24, 2006.  (Appearance by a representative of the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries.)  THE COMMISSION GRANTED THE REQUESTS.

 

7)         Request of the Pineville Housing Authority for an individual pay adjustment in the amount of $60.00 biweekly for Moses W. Rhone, Maintenance Foreman, in accordance with Civil Service Rule 6.16(c), effective August 10, 2006. (Appearance by a representative of the Pineville Housing Authority.)  AFTER COMMENTS FROM MICHELLE WALDROP, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, PINEVILLE HOUSING AUTHORITY, THE COMMISSION DEFFERED ANY ACTION.

 

8)         Request of the Office of Mental Health for shift differential pay for Registered Nurses and Practical Nurses—Licensed at the New Orleans Adolescent Hospital in accordance with Civil Service Rule 6.28(a), effective July 31, 2006.  (Appearance by a representative of the Office of Mental Health.)  THE COMMISSION GRANTED THE REQUEST.
