of the Southern University at New Orleans to extend the furlough of
employees for whom there are no job assignments under the provisions of Rule
17.8(d) from February 8, 2006 to March 31, 2006. (Appearance by a representative of the Southern University at New
Orleans.) THE
REQUEST WAS GRANTED BY THE COMMISSION.
2) Consideration of the request of the Southern University at New
Orleans under the provisions of Civil Service Rule 17.5, as follows:
a. to
extend the furlough for employees for whom there are no job assignments from

ratify the interim approval given by the Acting Director of Civil Service for exceptions

4) Request of the Sabine River Authority under the
provisions of Civil Service Rule 17.5 to ratify the interim approval given by
the Acting Director of Civil Service for exceptions pertaining to the regular
layoff avoidance measures as follows, effective January 30, 2006:

Remove
the Sabine River Diversion Canal from reduction in work hours;
·
Return
Dan Holder, Sabine River Diversion Canal employee to his regular work schedule;
·
Return
Arlin Levy, Toledo Bend Reservoir employee to his regular work schedule.
And,
to restore the merit increase eligibility of the Sabine River Diversion Canal
employees and Mr. Dan Holder. (Appearance by a representative of the
Sabine River Authority.) THE REQUEST FOR EXCEPTIONS PERTAINING TO THE REGULAR LAYOFF
AVOIDANCE MEASURES WERE GRANTED BY THE COMMISSION, EFFECTIVE JANUARY 30,

INCREASES OF THE SABINE RIVER DIVERSION CANAL EMPLOYEES AND MR. DAN HOLDER WAS

5) Request
of the Department of Social Services to extend the furlough under the provisions
of Civil Service Rule 17.8(d) of the Office of Community Services employees
previously furloughed from February 10, 2006 through June 30, 2006. (Appearance by a representative of the

6) Request
of the Housing Authority of Lafourche Parish for authority under the
provisions of Civil Service Rule 6.16(c) for an individual pay adjustment in
the amount of $0.11 per hour for Ruby Plaisance, Housing Assistance Technician
Supervisor 1. (Appearance by a

7) Consideration of the following
requests for optional pay adjustments for additional duties under the
provisions of Civil Service Rule 6.16.2:

of Natural Resources - for a temporary optional pay adjustment in the
amount of 5% for Gregory Grandy, Coastal Resources Scientist – DCLB, and
Charles Norman, Coastal Resources Scientist 3, in the Office of Coastal
Restoration and Management, effective February 8, 2006 through February 8,
2010. THE REQUEST WAS GRANTED BY THE COMMISSION.
b. University
of Louisiana at Monroe -for a temporary optional pay adjustment in the
amount of 5% for Ms. Lisa Lynch, Accountant 2, effective January 2, 2006. THE COMMISSION
GRANTED AUTHORITY FOR A 2% TEMPORARY OPTIONAL PAY ADJUSTMENT FOR MS. LISA
LYNCH, EFFECTIVE JANUARY 2, 2006.
8) Request
of the Division of Administration for authority under the provisions of
Civil Service Rule 4.1(d)2 for twenty-seven (27) unclassified positions for the
new Disaster Recovery Unit within the existing Office of Community Development,
effective February 8, 2006 through February 7, 2011. (Appearance by a

9) Request
