10) Request of the Louisiana State Board of Nursing to establish a policy for an Optional Pay Adjustment Program under the provisions of Civil Service Rule 6.16.2, effective May 4, 2005 as follows: (Appearance by a representative of the Louisiana Board of Nursing.) THE REQUEST WAS GRANTED BY THE COMMISSION.
Retention of employees deemed essential to the agency – up to 10% base pay or lump sum increase to match a written and verified offer from a private employer.
Adjust pay differentials between comparable employees – up to 10% base pay increase for salary compression in cases where a junior employee’s pay rate surpasses the pay rate of senior employees due to the implementation of other Civil Service rules that cause the pay discrepancy.
Compensation for employees who perform additional duties – up to 5% base pay or lump sum increase to employees who are assigned additional duties on a permanent basis. Employees who are assigned additional duties on a temporary basis may receive a lump sum of up to 5% of their base pay for such duties.
11) Request of the LSU Health Care Services Division to establish an Incentive Award program under the provisions of Civil Service Rule 6.16 (d) at the Medical Center of Louisiana New Orleans, effective April 6, 2005. 1) Request of the Housing Authority of the City of Rayne to establish a Rewards and Recognition policy under the provisions of Civil Service Rule 6.16.1, effective October 1, 2004 as follows: (Appearance by representative of the Housing Authority of the City of Rayne.) THE REQUEST WAS GRANTED BY THE COMMISSION, EFFECTIVE APRIL 1, 2005.
The Agency has decided to implement a Rewards & Recognition policy to reward employees up to 4% of base salary in years that the agency receives a "high performer" rating by the Public Housing Assessment System (PHAS).
2) Request of the Department of Revenue to establish a Dual Career Ladder Policy for Information Technology jobs, effective May 5, 2005: (Appearance by representative of the Department of Revenue.) THE REQUEST WAS GRANTED BY THE COMMISSION.
3) Request of the Department of Corrections, Louisiana State Penitentiary for authority under the provisions of Civil Service Rule 4.1(d)2 to establish one unclassified position of Principal, effective May 4, 2005. (Appearance by representative of Department of Corrections.) THE REQUEST WAS GRANTED BY THE COMMISSION ON AN ONGOING BASIS.
4) Request of the Louisiana Systemic Initiatives Program (LaSIP) for authority under the provisions of Civil Service Rule 4.1(d)2 to establish one unclassified position of LaSip Program Coordinator, effective May 4, 2005. (Appearance by representative of LaSIP.) THE REQUEST WAS GRANTED BY THE COMMISSION.
5) Request of the Housing Authority of the City of Monroe for authority under the provisions of Civil Service Rule 4.1(d)2 to establish two unclassified positions to serve as Planning Director and Coordinator.
