THE REQUESTS WERE GRANTED BY THE COMMISSION, EFFECTIVE FEBRUARY 2, 2005.

10) Request of the Department of Agriculture & Forestry for authority, under the provisions of Civil Service Rule 6.16.2, to establish an Optional Pay policy, effective December 20, 2004. (Appearance by representative of Department of Agriculture & Forestry.) THE REQUEST WAS GRANTED BY THE COMMISSION.

11) Request of the Department of Civil Service, for authority under the provisions of Civil Service Rule 6.16.1, for a lump sum payment of $750.00 for Ms. Judy McGimsey who has earned the Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation. (Appearance by representative of Department of Civil Service.) THE REQUEST WAS GRANTED BY THE COMMISSION.

12) Consideration of the Minutes of the Commission Meeting held January 4 and 5, 2005. THE MINUTES WERE APPROVED BY THE COMMISSION AS WRITTEN.

1) General Business No. 6 – Addendum to Employee Opportunity to Address the Commission.

James C. Bogan, Operating Engineer Foreman 2 (Medical Center of Louisiana at New Orleans) to discuss losing annual leave due to layoff.

AFTER RECEIVING A PRESENTATION FROM JAMES C. BOGAN REQUESTING PAYMENT FOR LEAVE EARNED, THE COMMISSION TOOK NO ACTION. MR. BOGAN WAS EMPLOYED WITH MEDICAL CENTER OF LOUISIANA AT NEW ORLEANS AND IS NOW UNEMPLOYED DUE TO A LAY OFF AT THAT FACILITY. THE CIVIL SERVICE RULES ALLOW FOR 300 HOURS OF LEAVE BE PAID AND THAT IS ALL THAT IS ALLOWED AT THIS TIME. THE DEPARTMENT WILL DO EVERYTHING POSSIBLE TO HELP MR. BOGAN FIND EMPLOYMENT WITH STATE SERVICE. THE COMMISSION ASKED THE DEPARTMENT OF CIVIL SERVICE TO LOOK AT THE RULE TO SEE IF ANY POSSIBLE CHANGE CAN BE MADE. THE DEPARTMENT WILL REPORT BACK IN MARCH.

2) Request of the Department of Social Services, Office of Family Support for a base pay adjustment for additional duties per Rule 6.16.2 in the amount of 5% for their Executive Management Team, effective February 2, 2005, as follows: (Appearances by representative of Department of Social Services, Office of Family Support.)
