9) Consideration of
the following requests for authority, under the provisions of Civil Service Rule
6.16.2, to establish or amend the Optional Pay Adjustment policies as follows:
a. Housing Authority of the City of Rayne – to revise its policy effective July 1, 2004 as follows:
· To amend its policy to remain in compliance with the guidelines established for additional duties.
b.
Pennington Biomedical Research Center
– to amend its policy effective September 1, 2004 as follows:
·
Retention of employees deemed essential to the agency – up to 10% base pay or
lump sum increase to match a written and verified offer from a private employer.
·
Recruit employees into difficult to fill positions – up to 10% base pay or lump
sum increase in order to recruit employees into difficult positions.
·
Adjust pay differentials between comparable employees – up to 10% base pay
increase for pay salary compression caused by the implementation of either
6.5(b) or 6.5(g).
·
Compensation for employees who perform additional duties – up to 5% base pay or
lump sum increase to employees who are assigned additional duties on a permanent
basis. Employees who are assigned
additional duties on a temporary basis may receive a lump sum of up to 5% of
their base pay for such duties. Pay
increases up to 5% may be approved by the appointing authority. Any pay increases of more than 5% must
be approved by the Civil Service Commission.
c.
South Lafourche Levee District – to amend its policy effective August 1,
2004 as follows:
·
Retention of employees deemed essential to the department.
·
Adjust pay differentials between comparable employees where the implementation
of 6.5(g), 6.5(b) or similar circumstances caused the pay discrepancy.
·
To recruit for difficult-to-fill positions.
·
A maximum of 5% will be awarded by the agency for the assignment of additional
duties. Payments above 5% and payments for Administrators will be forwarded to
the Commission for approval.
d. Pontchartrain Levee District - to establish a policy effective August
16, 2004 as follows:
·
Retention of
employees deemed essential to the department.
·
Adjust pay
differentials between comparable employees where the implementation of 6.5(g),
6.5(b), or similar circumstances caused the pay discrepancy.
·
To recruit
for difficult-to-fill positions.
·
A maximum of
5% will be awarded by the agency for the assignment of additional duties.
Payments above 5% and payments for Administrators will be forwarded to the
Commission for approval.
e. Lafourche Basin Levee District to establish a policy effective September
1, 2004 as follows:
·
