  1. DeRidder Housing Authority - to establish a Rewards and Recognition policy effective January 1, 2002 as follows:

    1. Department of Insurance - to amend its Rewards and Recognition policy to allow payments of up to 9% effective July 1, 2002.
  1. Office of Financial Institutions - to amend its Rewards and Recognition policy effective August 15, 2002, to allow payments of up to 9% and wording changes that do not change the intent of the policy.

  1. Consideration of the following requests for authority, under the provisions of Civil Service Rule 6.16.2, to establish or amend the Optional Pay Adjustment Programs as follows:  THE REQUESTS WERE GRANTED BY THE COMMISSION.

  1. Department of Insurance – to amend its Optional Pay Adjustment Policy to allow payments of up to 10% effective July 1, 2002.

  2. LSU Agricultural Center - to amend its Optional Pay Adjustment Policy to allow payments of up to 10% effective July 1, 2002.
  3. Louisiana Housing Finance Agency - to amend its Optional Pay Adjustment Policy to allow payments of up to 10% effective June 12, 2002.
  4. Housing Authority of the Town of Colfax - to establish a policy for an Optional Pay Adjustment Program effective July 18, 2002 to reward those employees in the following areas:

    1. Retention of employees deemed essential to the agency – up to 10% base pay or lump sum increase to match a written and verified offer from a private employer.
    2. Adjust pay differentials between comparable employees – up to 10% base pay increase for salary compression caused by the implementation of either 6.5(b) or 6.5(g).
    3. Compensation for additional duties – up to 10% base pay or lump sum increase to award employees for either permanent or temporary additional duties.
    4. Recruit employees into difficult to fill positions – up to a 10% base pay or lump sum increase in order to recruit employees into difficult to fill positions.

THIS SCHEDULE WILL NOT BECOME EFFECTIVE UNLESS ADOPTED BY THE CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION AND APPROVED BY THE GOVERNOR. IF ADOPTED BY THE COMMISSION AND APPROVED BY THE GOVERNOR, THE GOVERNOR WILL SET THE EFFECTIVE DATE. (Appearance by a Representative of the Department of Civil Service.)   4. Consideration of the proposed contract between Metropolitan Developmental Center and Empire Services, LLC for housekeeping services. (Appearance by a Representative of the Office for Citizens with Developmental Disabilities.) THE REQUEST WAS GRANTED BY THE COMMISSION WITH THE STIPULATION THAT THE METROPOLITAN DEVELOPMENTAL CENTER WILL REPORT BACK TO THE COMMISSION AT ITS SEPTEMBER, 2003 MEETING TO GIVE AN UPDATE ON THE PROGRESS OF THE CONTRACT.

  5. Request of the Department of Corrections, under the provisions of Civil Service Rule 4.1(d)2, for one (1) additional unclassified position of Re-Entry Coordinator for the "Going Home" Grant for a period of three years.
