14) Consideration of the request from the Department of Health and Hospitals, to suspend Mr. Andrew Mata without pay, pending criminal proceedings against him. (Appearance by a Representative of the Department of Health and Hospitals.) THE COMMISSION WAS ADVISED THAT MR. MATA AND THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HOSPITALS HAVE AGREED TO PLACE MR. MATA IN A POSITION THAT WOULD LIMIT HIS COMPUTER ACCESS. THE COMMISSION HAD NO OBJECTION TO THIS ACTION.
15) Consideration of the request from the Department of Public Safety and Corrections, Office of Probation and Parole, to suspend Mr. Paul Regan without pay, pending criminal proceedings against him. 3) Request of the Housing Authority of the City of Natchitoches, under the provisions of Civil Service Rule 6.16.2, to establish a policy for an Optional Pay Adjustment program effective August 1, 2001. The agency would like to reward those employees in the following areas:
1) Retention of employees deemed essential to the agency - up to 7% base pay or lump sum increase to match a written and verified offer from a private employer.
2) Adjust pay differentials between comparable employees - up to 7% base pay increase for salary compression caused by the implementation of either Civil Service Rule 6.5(b) or 6.5(g).
3) Compensation for additional duties - up to 5% base pay or lump sum increase to award employees for either permanent or temporary additional duties.
4) Recruit employees into difficult to fill positions - up to a 7% base pay or lump sum increase in order to recruit employees into difficult to fill positions.
