1) General Business No. 6 - Addendum to the requests, under the provisions of Civil Service Rule 6.16(a), for one-time payment in premium pay for attainment of certain certifications/credentials: (THE REQUEST WAS APPROVED BY THE COMMISSION)
2) DHH-Office of the Secretary, (Office of Management and Finance) for Martha Levy for $1000 for her attainment of the Certified Public Accountant designation.

14) LSU Medical Center-Shreveport for a particular employee (name to remain confidential due to ADA accommodation) who will demote effective January 11, 1999 from the job of Clerk 4 (GS-8) to the job of Clerk 2 (GS-6). This will allow him/her to demote and to retain their current rate of pay at $1531 per month.
15) LSU Medical Center-Shreveport for a particular employee (name to remain confidential due to ADA accommodation) who will demote effective January 25,1999 from the job of Mobile Equipment Operator 1 (GS-8) to the job of Custodian 2 (GS-4). This will allow him/her to demote and to retain their current rate of pay at $1314 per month.
16) Louisiana State University for Louis Castle. He will demote, effective January 16, 1999 from the job of Printing Superintendent (GS-19) to the job of Printing Assistant Superintendent (GS-18). This will allow him to demote and retain his current rate of pay at $3201 per month.
17) Department of Wildlife and Fisheries for Lloyd Posey. He will demote, effective January 11, 1999 from the job of Wildlife Educator Area Coordinator (GS-17) to the job of Biologist 3 (GS-16). This will allow him to demote and retain his current rate of pay at $2791 per month.
18) Department of Health and Hospitals for Carol K. Humphreys. She will demote, effective November 2, 1998 from the job of Clerk Chief 2 (GS-10) to the job of Secretary 2 (GS-9). This will allow her to demote and have her pay set at the maximum of the lower range at $1971 per month.
19) Department of Public Safety and Corrections for Patrick Cochran. He will demote, effective January 19, 1999 from the job of Corrections Lieutenant (GS-13) to the job of Corrections Sergeant (GS-11). This will allow him to demote and retain his current rate of pay at $1994 per month.
3) General Business No. 8 - Addendum to the Requests for Special Pay Rates. (ALL OF THE REQUESTS WERE APPROVED AS RECOMMENDED BY THE DEPARTMENT)
4) Request of the Department of Agriculture and Forestry for authority, under the provisions of Civil Service Rule 6.16(c), for an individual pay rate adjustment in the amount of $8 per month for Eldon Stokes, which seeks to keep him, upon promotion, at his current pay at $1459 per month, effective retroactive to December 29, 1998, when he became eligible for a one GS-level promotion. 5) Request of the Port of South Louisiana for authority, under the provisions of Civil Service Rule 6.16(c), for an individual pay rate adjustment of 14% for Alvin Morris, Marine Engineer 1, which entails raising his monthly salary by $181. His current rate of pay is $1292 per month. (Appearance by a Representative of the Port of South Louisiana.) (THE REQUEST WAS APPROVED BY THE COMMISSION)
6) Request of the Division of Administration for authority, under the provisions of
Civil Service Rule 6.16(c), for individual pay rate adjustments for the following three
employees who are currently State Budget Management Analyst 2 (GS-21). All three were
hired originally as Management Interns (GS-13) utilizing the Special Entrance Rate that
was in effect at the time. The problem is the Division paid the higher maximum allowable
SER to the new hires and there is now a significant discrepancy between the newer hires
pay and that of the three employees for which this request is made: (THE REQUEST WAS APPROVED BY THE COMMISSION)
1) Carmane Glover-Stepter - an increase of $658 per month2) Shawn Hotsteam - an increase of $742 per month
3) Leslye Milano - an increase of $742 per month.
7) Request of Grambling State University for authority, under the provisions of
Civil Service Rule 12.5, to suspend Marcus L. Earles, Jr., without pay, pending
criminal proceedings against him. (Appearance by a Representative of Grambling State

Chabert Medical Center), for authority, under the provisions of Civil Service Rule 6.16(c), for a permanent individual salary increase in the amount of $300 monthly (10%) for Troy Ledet, Administrative Director 3, which entails raising his salary from $2988 to $3289 per month, to be effective January 1, 1999.
